Korua would be nice to review, Burton is a hassle so having an account right there that would facilitate that is great. All I really wanted from them was the ability to get some products that I couldn't get. It sucks knowing I'm in their top 5 for the world and moved close to 200k in product for them and they just think that adds no value. I've weathered so many storms this isn't even going to bother me in the slightest. Anyone remember Sierra Snowboards? How did that work out for them? Backcountry seems to have put a cap on their gear guides these days with the pandemic. They'll start throwing money down the hole. Sure they'll get the rube that doesn't know any better, but at the end of the day the people that do know won't use it. When a shop goes this route they think that it's going to bring a new value to the service they provide and will magically make them more. To quote the senile oompa loompa in charge "it is what it is". The base is also very fast and comes with a textured finish that holds a lot of speed in spring slush. It can be a lot of fun on groomers if carving is your thing and it also makes a great powder board with plenty of float despite its shorter length, even in deep low angle Japow. Of the eight boards I own I find myself reaching for this the most no matter what the snow conditions are. Personal Thoughts: For a short and fat volume shift this is a very versatile board, people with no interest in freestyle could even use it as a daily driver. Rider in Mind: Someone who loves to carve and ride powder Despite the extra width on this board it is reasonably nimble edge to edge. The sidecut radius is small at 7.4m for the 151 so really long drawn out carves are less suitable than the tighter trench digging circle carves. Pop On Jumps: Again the short tail makes this more difficult than a traditional twin shape board but if you get the timing right you can certainly boost some air.īutterability: Nose butters in fresh pow all day, lots of fun! the tail is too short and stiff for anything more than a short wheelie.Ĭarving: This is where the Simple Pleasures really shines! it loves being on edge and has a very locked in and predictable feeling, you can drive it very hard, the extra width will let you lean it all the way over. Ollies: The tail is short and stiff so not so good for ollies. Stability: The stiffness in this board inspires confidence through variable snow, you can hold plenty of speed and not feel unstable despite the short length, the extra width also helps with this. Resort: Perisher (Australia), Hakuba Valley and Myoko (Japan)Ĭonditions: Spring slush, firm groomers, fresh deep Japow, pretty much everything!įlex: This board is pretty stiff but slightly softer in the nose. Basically traditional camber, a decent amount too with plenty of rocker into the long nose.īindings: Now Pilot, Burton Genesis Reflex I promise I’ll do some bunker layering.I love this board so much I wanted to make a review, I have borrowed Angry's template to try and keep my thoughts on point.Ĭamber Option: Directional Camber Baseline™. I got drafted last year when nobody knew who I was, so why shouldn’t I get drafted this year?Ĭaptain I want to play for? No question the guy who’s back me since the beginning. Glen Ellyn - Who knows what it’ll finish but I got Andre to like a Template course so there’s that. Two Courses: Why not throw down the three since last years DT?Įscondite - Semi-finals WC (got robbed if you ask me)
